Blog:How to Identify Fake UGG Designer Boots

Posted by admin - September 29th, 2009

uggs on sale, also referred to as uggs or ug boots, are a style of sheepskin boot, with wool as the inner lining and a tanned outer surface worn by both men and women. The UGG Australia story began in 1978, when Brian Smith, a young surfer from Australia, took a trip to the United States with a bag full of sheepskin boots.
Now let me introduce you something about how to identify fake ugg designer boots.
First Research the seller of the Ugg boots. Various Internet websites that specialize in selling designer clothing and fashion, such as eBay and similar auction websites, are known to be places where sellers try to get rid of fake designer knockoffs
Second Check the price. If the price for the Ugg boots are too good to be true, it most likely is. UGG Ultra Short Boots are known to be quite expensive. Classic Ugg boots start at about $60, though various other UGG Ultra Tall Boots fashions and styles can cost up to $200. A cheap pair of Ugg boots may mean they are fake, counterfeit designer goods.
Third Read the Ugg boot tag. If it’s made in China, they are genuine Ugg boots.
Fouth Feel the boot material and inspect the manufacturing. Real Ugg boots are made with high-quality cloth and material, and the stitches and workmanship will be solid.
Five Avoid buying Ugg boots from un-reputable third parties. Purchase Ugg boots from reputable sellers and dealers to protect yourself from wasting money on cheap Ugg boots that aren’t the real thing.

Blog: Lower oil prices cut BP profits

Posted by admin - September 29th, 2009

Lower oil prices in the global downturn have led to second-quarter profits at BP more than halving from a year ago.
Its replacement cost profit between April and June was $3.1bn (£1.9bn), down 53% from $6.75bn a year earlier.
Oil prices have hovered at between $60 and $70 a barrel recently – well off the high of $147 seen last July, but up from the $30 lows of earlier this year.
Chief executive Tony Hayward said the firm expected the global economic recovery to be “long and drawn out”.
‘We are in turbulent times, volatile and uncertain. But we continue to steer a steady course through choppy waters,” he added.

Mr Durham, who is already investigating the destruction of videotapes of CIA interrogations, was picked by US Attorney General Eric Holder.

Mr Holder said: “I fully realise that my decision to commence this preliminary review will be controversial

“In this case, given all of the information currently available, it is clear to me that this review is the only responsible course of action for me to take.”

Special prosecutors in the US are independent figures appointed to investigate the possible wrongdoing of government officials or agencies.

Senior Republicans have already expressed anger at the decision.

Nine signatories of a letter to Mr Holder said they were “deeply disappointed” at a decision that “could have a chilling effect on the work of the intelligence community”.

With survivors and witnesses of the bombing in their 80s, the challenge now is to convey the importance of Guernica to a new generation.
One witness who does a very good job of that, is Luis Iriondo. Seventy years ago, as a 14-year-old boy, Luis ran across Guernica’s main square and found refuge from the bombs in a shelter.
Through a doorway is the wine cellar-like room where Luis found safety with dozens of others. He says it was completely dark and there was no ventilation, so after five minutes he could hardly breathe.
As the bombs started dropping he says he was terrified and expected to be buried alive.

Blog: Unique UGG Boot

Posted by admin - September 28th, 2009

uggs on sale are fast becoming one of the fashion trends of the decade. The Ugg boot is usually a high fitting boot, mostly coming up above the ankle, and usually much higher.
It is now the norm to find Ugg boots in the stores and online which feature a wide range of colors including bright reds and greens or pinks, and all sorts of other bright colors. In the past you had little choice for your Classic Uggs Mini Boots but they are now available in a wide range of colors and styles.
The Ugg boot is not a hardwearing boot like a leather boot though, and you need to take a little care with your Uggs boot. They are a soft boot but made with a hard plastic sole, with the sheepskin sewn onto the sole. The sole is generally hard wearing but the sheepskin sides can be prone to getting dirty very easily, though they can be easily washed.
But as any UGG Classic Short Boots devotee will tell you, a good pair of Uggs will be the most comfortable footwear you will ever have on your feet.

Canadian t-shirt manufacturer Gildan Activewear saw its shares reach a record high of CA$62.04 (£28.58) on the Toronto Stock Exchange last week.

The firm said it has no announcement to make following stock increases, but investors are showing commitment to its products.

Laurence Sellyn, Gildan’s executive vice president, told the Montreal Gazette: “There isn’t any particular news, but investors seem to believe strongly in our long-term strategy to develop our retail brands for activewear, underwear and sports socks.”

Shares were also trading at $54.7 (£28.85) on the New York Stock Exchange at the close of business on Friday.

Last month, Gildan was recognised by Start-IT magazine as one of its Technology and Business award winners for 2006 due to its implementation of technology solutions.

The firm’s automation of business processes, such as invoicing and ordering, was commended by a panel of industry analysts, who said the changes have increased Gildan’s efficiency and cost effectiveness.

In addition, according to CBC News, the t-shirt manufacturer is to take on rivals by extending its offering through a major retailer.

Analyst at Paradigm Capital Doug Cooper said the company is well positioned to compete.

blog:Manufacturer offers ‘world’s first’ fine art t-shirts

Posted by admin - September 28th, 2009

A new firm which claims to manufacture the world’s first sex positive fine art t-shirts is showcasing the work of established and up-and-coming designers.

Strange Affections had its grand opening recently at the Folsom Street Leather Fair – San Francisco’s kink festival – unveiling its new t-shirts.

The t-shirts feature work licensed from unconventional artists such as Julian Murphy – who was named by Vogue magazine as “one of the most prominent and collectable artists working in the world today”.

Commenting on the designs, Baraka Jaden, founder of the t-shirts manufacturer, said the shirts were created “for sophisticated and discerning customers” who are “unafraid to express who they are”.

The firm’s logo is ‘Wear your wild on the outside’, which it claims is a call to arms for those passionate about their alternative lifestyles, while historical and international art is used in the designs.

Ms Jaden added that the aim of the t-shirt designs is not to shock, rather to unite style and a passion for fine art.

“You can find 1,000, perhaps 10,000 t-shirts far more out there and overtly vulgar than ours on sale already,” she said.

blog:T-shirt manufacturer implements first-hire policy

Posted by admin - September 28th, 2009

Following a relocation announcement, t-shirt, sweatshirt and polo-shirt manufacturer Gildan Activewear has pledged to give priority to its existing workers in new recruitment drives.

Having closed a Honduras factory in 2004, the t-shirt manufacturer will give priority to its 1,800 former workers when taking on new staff, according to Just Style.

The Honduran Independent Monitoring Team found that after the initial stages of a first-hire scheme, which saw a 20 per cent uptake of former Gildan employees, there are a growing number of former employees from the El Progeso site being relocated.

The news comes as Gildan announces plans to downsize North American manufacturing capacity, in a move to increase production at low-cost sites in Honduras and the Dominican Republic.

Speaking to Reuters, Jessy Hayem, a Desjardins Securities analyst, said the move would “ramp up” production at Gildan’s Rio Nance III sock facility in Honduras.

He added that the restructuring drive was ahead of Desjardins’ expectations “and is positive”
